It was only due to an assignment for a class I am currently taking that I even remember this blog exists. So many years and so much has happened between the time this blog was created and today.<br />
<br />
I am now twenty-two years old. I never pursued cosmetology as a career after schooling, but I still find it a fun hobby. I still own too much nail polish to count.<br />
<br />
It might seem strange to some that I went from pursing doing hair for a living to currently seeking a degree in web design, but both things are passions of mine. They are even similar in some ways. Both allow me to express my creativity and involve creating styles for clients. I am able to express myself and create something unique and special for every project or client.<br />
<br />
Who knows if I will take blogging up as a full time passion. Between school, work, and a relationship some things tend to get forgotten about. Sometimes for up to even three years. Rediscovering this blog has been a great little peek back in time.<br />
<br />
Even though the hopes and dreams I had as a nineteen year old have changed more than just a little, I am still full of new hopes and dreams for the future.Teddi - Trapeze Beautyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07713598083551332351noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4419510248470704221.post-73408323722047572562013-02-02T10:33:00.000-08:002013-02-02T10:33:58.559-08:0031 Day Challenge - Day 3 Yellow!Hello darlings, today I discovered a new love in my life - yellow polish! I have had this Sally Hansen polish in my collection for the longest time, but I had always skipped over it for other colors. Since the inspiration for today was none other than the color yellow, I finally decided to reach for it. And I'm so glad that I did! I just absolutely love how these dandelion nails turned out.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiIIhFTXFjIm9rfH6onihZlq0_7iRGso7rt3LIMuaB1JMoiGMvtbKQGRatynq-gNf-qn_T4N2cLueOGejKjO2lZUY0FhnxDle3XEt8kbnTeP9rzNyFCYaWV7QF4d6_YFfAn2hNuaWToiqMV/s1600/3.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiIIhFTXFjIm9rfH6onihZlq0_7iRGso7rt3LIMuaB1JMoiGMvtbKQGRatynq-gNf-qn_T4N2cLueOGejKjO2lZUY0FhnxDle3XEt8kbnTeP9rzNyFCYaWV7QF4d6_YFfAn2hNuaWToiqMV/s320/3.png" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<a name='more'></a><br />
To recreate this look, start with two coats of your yellow polish. Using a white striper, make short strokes in a circular shape on two of your nails to create the head of your dandelion Add a few short strokes on your remaining nails to reflect fly away dandelion seeds. Then using a dotting tool or a pin, make a small dot with your black polish in the middle of your flower. Use your black striper to create the stem, and this look is complete!<br />
<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
The colors I used in this look were Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Lightning, Rimmel Black Satin, and a black and white striper. You will definitely be seeing more of Lightning in the future!<br />

Hello lovely followers! I had so much fun with this challenge yesterday, that I could not wait to undo all my work and start over again for today. Something tells me I am going to need to stock up on nail polish remover if I am going to be changing my nails each day. </div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEidr6k0d3otCDnFbCd7VqrT2pjKus9k-8HkBHAiiHLnX-bMbxoa6O4E3y8ve1NiXcpQ-O3k7Sas_A0-QE6yLMkUUFquTLDgXFFSiyI0ceCNxu54YfrGsD6vw9cuMTAvY2wa0rol7D9qvfT9/s1600/1.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEidr6k0d3otCDnFbCd7VqrT2pjKus9k-8HkBHAiiHLnX-bMbxoa6O4E3y8ve1NiXcpQ-O3k7Sas_A0-QE6yLMkUUFquTLDgXFFSiyI0ceCNxu54YfrGsD6vw9cuMTAvY2wa0rol7D9qvfT9/s320/1.png" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
Anyways, onto today's manicure! I was feeling inspired by one of my favorite orange things - tigers! So I present to you my first attempt at tiger stripes. These nails were so easy to do, and I just cannot wait to show them off when I go out today!<br />
<br />
<a name='more'></a><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiMcXtuOFseHo3pq21DpGZj9tdTMtCZAnzdQLtZENiwd6rIpeQkfmyNJ5yWLD4MKZXWKrNbo4Hf6fOtnxlw9Xn-HQSyfdG62LdoiAebeQ9ZZXHCYR-intqFewcS05kVemi-kPaDLyn7ZmlW/s1600/5.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiMcXtuOFseHo3pq21DpGZj9tdTMtCZAnzdQLtZENiwd6rIpeQkfmyNJ5yWLD4MKZXWKrNbo4Hf6fOtnxlw9Xn-HQSyfdG62LdoiAebeQ9ZZXHCYR-intqFewcS05kVemi-kPaDLyn7ZmlW/s320/5.png" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
To recreate this look, you will need an orange polish and a black striper. I used OPI Y'all Come Back, Ya Hear? which is a gorgeous orange jelly that was a part of the OPI Texas collection as well as a black striper from So Easy. A striper is really necessary if you want crisp, fine lines in any polish design but a thin paint brush can also be used in a pinch.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

I have always been a fan of seeing other bloggers post their nails everyday so I am extra excited to finally take part in the challenge myself.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
The inspiration for today's post is red. I chose to try out a technique that I have never done before, the jelly sandwich. For those of you who have no idea what on earth a jelly sandwich has to do with nail polish, it is simply a term used to describe the process of placing a layer of glitter polish between two layers of a sheer "jelly" polish.<br />
<br />
<a name='more'></a><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh3Q30iHw8C6uG7eK0BSinnZO3ZOWZb3zDQjxBhJeg4UIz_odqB_JUVsNeQsAYhefnEqmxl8DA_DnD06lS09kmtEtieagndAvF24wgdPMiL20gplG40B5ff1dbtVBzm8qFBoNjVyRXEb-3s/s1600/Top.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="225" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh3Q30iHw8C6uG7eK0BSinnZO3ZOWZb3zDQjxBhJeg4UIz_odqB_JUVsNeQsAYhefnEqmxl8DA_DnD06lS09kmtEtieagndAvF24wgdPMiL20gplG40B5ff1dbtVBzm8qFBoNjVyRXEb-3s/s320/Top.png" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
The colors I used for this look were Essie Headmistress, OPI Guy Meets Gal-veston, and OPI Save Me. To recreate this look, start by prepping your nails with a base coat to protect your natural nails. My favorite to use is OPI Nail Envy, but any base coat will do. Then apply two even coats of your dark red polish, making sure to give each coat plenty of time to dry. Following those two coats, you will apply one coat of the glitter polish. Once this coat has completely dried, apply your sheer red jelly polish over the top. And with that, you're done!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh8IoGR2N72DhAQ5JX9tTVuNgMR7hVzp6rwWiZa7WQEB3oshi1V6EgMSsISplLj7v9R5kiaWgfJ_SUsyF586uFFFdxVvKBNVSro6IalXEzHgDXoNauiOpt_QECFU4TVYOuMzxdvKGvkYqQV/s1600/2.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh8IoGR2N72DhAQ5JX9tTVuNgMR7hVzp6rwWiZa7WQEB3oshi1V6EgMSsISplLj7v9R5kiaWgfJ_SUsyF586uFFFdxVvKBNVSro6IalXEzHgDXoNauiOpt_QECFU4TVYOuMzxdvKGvkYqQV/s320/2.png" width="240" /></a></div>

While trying to think of an inspiration for this post, I thought back to one of my favorite manicures I have ever done - Pokeballs (shhh, don't tell but there might be a revamp of these very, very soon)! With Pokemon in mind, I decided to try out my very first tutorial dedicated to the cutest pink Pokemon of them all, Jigglypuff!<br />

<br />
<a name='more'></a>To create this little guy, start off with a light pink polish all over your nails. I used an unnamed pink polish from Forever 21's Love & Beauty brand.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhwwV0lB8755bDP0BY1RGSdTz7bXUI9cTjYyAMUwKFOTHB18MTsL5PwipOYSXEWo9Hyz6Fxnil8L-AfRHXRSDqP3BC7sPl4WkKDxoi2b-TMJ4E_Xp8R8-xlEZWOxQAQ5R6gofZqWzOG2-k_/s1600/Step+1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhwwV0lB8755bDP0BY1RGSdTz7bXUI9cTjYyAMUwKFOTHB18MTsL5PwipOYSXEWo9Hyz6Fxnil8L-AfRHXRSDqP3BC7sPl4WkKDxoi2b-TMJ4E_Xp8R8-xlEZWOxQAQ5R6gofZqWzOG2-k_/s1600/Step+1.JPG" height="320" width="240" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The next step is to take your pencil and use the eraser to make a large white dot on your pointer and ring fingers. This will create the whites of the eyes, and any white polish will do. I used Sally Hansen Hard as Nails.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh4Gh2OwAh87ZIMVFVD-3l5pAU7sXJ7yeZZL1FsQx3N0IqinXZ-0ydG-kDXWVChKrzscTzePB8GGtDHe_V4XfGLYzYQ3R4Sh1MwLGFqFrn6ty-v9C0L9XpJJhV8xXFfgigVfMmCYK7a0hGC/s1600/Step+2.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh4Gh2OwAh87ZIMVFVD-3l5pAU7sXJ7yeZZL1FsQx3N0IqinXZ-0ydG-kDXWVChKrzscTzePB8GGtDHe_V4XfGLYzYQ3R4Sh1MwLGFqFrn6ty-v9C0L9XpJJhV8xXFfgigVfMmCYK7a0hGC/s1600/Step+2.JPG" height="320" width="240" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Your third step will be to add a teal polish using a large dotting tool on top of the white dots. I used Essie Turquoise and Caicos for this step.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgSR81z4HO83He50_YtEaz2sXhO6TAt7zX6binPsLllIEfcD1wPAWGV9dt4hH1m6unV5ztvmI3FyXACGazeuzecwNSC343RF0bCpqmjvLap7fTi9VY2jENZ630v7aeOLJ-HCrojwI461xOB/s1600/Step+3.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgSR81z4HO83He50_YtEaz2sXhO6TAt7zX6binPsLllIEfcD1wPAWGV9dt4hH1m6unV5ztvmI3FyXACGazeuzecwNSC343RF0bCpqmjvLap7fTi9VY2jENZ630v7aeOLJ-HCrojwI461xOB/s1600/Step+3.JPG" height="320" width="240" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Following the teal polish, add a dot of a dark green like OPI Don't Mess With OPI right on top. This will complete Jigglypuff's eyes.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi6NtI_dnGe4zOjBSE6RFwuFv6wbMFEHwB57rirL7u1vVSWkU7HuNJi1Bff1PfGUZZhQMUMXqaDdjn2p_-YDUQQzC-UeaCbBLGWX9Z5Ng_oX48nuV-XIlIXWDOGmN43_tXqPWfmufV0USVr/s1600/Step+4.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi6NtI_dnGe4zOjBSE6RFwuFv6wbMFEHwB57rirL7u1vVSWkU7HuNJi1Bff1PfGUZZhQMUMXqaDdjn2p_-YDUQQzC-UeaCbBLGWX9Z5Ng_oX48nuV-XIlIXWDOGmN43_tXqPWfmufV0USVr/s1600/Step+4.JPG" height="320" width="240" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Your final step will be to use a black striper to create Jigglypuff's curl and mouth. A small dotting tool and a black polish of your choice are used to create the triangles for the ears. My favorite plain black polish is Black Satin by Rimmel Lasting Finish Pro. It's an excellent smooth black creme that applies beautifully.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
And with that your Jigglypuff nails are complete! I do hope you found this tutorial helpful and wear your new Pokemon nails with pride. </div>

This look turned out to be super simple to create and got me lots of compliments on a night out. <div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Here's a list of the products I used for my lips:</div>
<div>
<div>
• Homemade Coconut Oil Sugar Scrub Treatment<br /> • L'Oreal Infallible Lipstick in Target Red<br /> • Urban Decay Eyeshadow in Blackout<br /><br />And here's a list of the products I used for the rest of my face:<br /> • Tarte Clean Slate Poreless Primer<br /> • Revlon Colorstay for Combo/Oily Skin in 110 Ivory<br /> • Sonia Kashuk Blush in 14 Pink<br /> • NYC Bronzer in Sunny<br /> • Rimmel Stay Matte Powder<br /> • Urban Decay Primer Potion<br /> • L'Oreal Infallible Eyeshadow in Sultry Smoke<br /> • Urban Decay 24/7 Liquid Liner in Perversion<br /> • Covergirl Clump Crusher Mascara</div>
<div>
<br />The particular red that I used is only sold at Target stores I believe, but your favorite red lipstick will work just fine. <a name='more'></a>To create this look all you need to do is apply your red lipstick as usual. I recommend using a conditioning or moisturizing treatment on your lips prior to applying the lipstick to make sure you have a smooth and soft surface to work with. Once your lips are red to your satisfaction, lightly tap your finger in your black eyeshadow. Starting at the far edges, dot your finger to your lips to transfer some of the shadow. Slowly build the color up from the outside towards the middle until you have achieved the amount of color transition you want. If the color is a little too black, you can blot lightly and apply a second coat of red lipstick.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
And then you are done! The finished look should resemble something like this:</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiQ5dxkwLefTiu6JXnPXpUpt-OvN5Vsjjea2N9CJtFX8yNkxsK2f-EBoNjZ5L28gSWRX-JyuEOwpuT2fXO1taJbJ8vEokd8PnatVsVFhHa31tjca_GT5xpUF7lyLM1Zed34F96TAhK40ej3/s1600/makeup.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiQ5dxkwLefTiu6JXnPXpUpt-OvN5Vsjjea2N9CJtFX8yNkxsK2f-EBoNjZ5L28gSWRX-JyuEOwpuT2fXO1taJbJ8vEokd8PnatVsVFhHa31tjca_GT5xpUF7lyLM1Zed34F96TAhK40ej3/s320/makeup.jpg" /></a></div>
<div>
<br />What are your opinions on this look? Is it something you would wear during the day or reserve for a special night out? Thanks for reading and I will see you next time!<div>

I will be posting all sorts of random mutterings about things related to beauty, be it hair, nail polish, makeup, or what say you.<br />
<br />
So I'll just do a short little introduction to start things off. My name is Teddi and I am a nineteen year old cosmetology student. I love everything related to making yourself look your best, so why not go to school to do what I love for a living? My collection of nail polish is ridiculous, but still nothing compared to the massive amounts of makeup that I own and play around with. I currently live in Phoenix, Arizona and I absolutely adore the desert. I also adore dogs and cats and other furry creatures.<br />
<br />
And that's about that. Stay tuned for more content and feel free to comment on what sort of posts you would like to see in the future.<br />
